My First Fanfic.

I believe in love surviving death into eternity

Stephi stood in the livingroom; she couldn't believe what her mother had just told her. This was all wrong,
her dad had only passed away 3 months ago and her uncle Mike was already moving in with her mother. She felt sick.
She couldn't deal with it anymore and she didn't want her mother to see her cry so she grabbed her coat and ran out the house.
Stephi kept running until she got to the river where she sat down on a bench and cried. Stephi stopped crying and watched the water, she always came here when she was upset, she smiled as she remembered how her and her dad used to come and feed the ducks here when she was a kid. This thought just set Stephi off crying even more.
As Stephi gazed at the water a stranger sat down next to her."Are you ok?" he said. The guy had a cute Aussie accent and she knew he wasn't from around here.
"I'll live,"Stephi said.
"What's wrong?" The guy said.
"Just family stuff." Stephi said, " anyway, what's wrong with you?"
The guy looked confused.
Stephi explained,"Sorry, you see i only come here when there's something on my mind so i just presumed that you had something on your mind too."
"Well, i suppose there is, Kind of."
"You wanna talk about it?"Stephi asked
"ok, but tell ya what, why don't we get some coffee, it's freezing out here" the stranger said.
Stephi and the stranger walked up the street towards the coffee shop.Stephi looked at the stranger.
"You know, you remind me of someone, a singer i used to like"she said.
"Really? Who?"
" Well that's what i'm trying to figure out, i can picture him, but i can't remember his name."She said shakind her head,"Never mind, what's your name by the way? I'm Stephi."
"Nice to meet you Stephi." he said, "I'm Darren"
They got their coffees and sat down at a table by the window.
"So what's been bothering you?"Stephi asked Darren.
"Just a little lonely i guess," Darren replied,"you see, it's a friends birthday and i would have loved to see them, but i'm too busy working here that i can't get back home to Oz."
" That's a shame."
Stephi and Darren talked for the next half an hour.
Stephi looked out the window.
"Damn it!"She said, "That was my bus just leaving."
She got out her mobile to call for a taxi.
"Don't bother with a taxi, I can drop you off home." Darren smiled.
"You sure? I don't want you to go out of your way"
" It's fine, I haven't got anywhere else to be"
Stephi and Darren left the cafe and got in Darren's car.
Stephi looked at Darren.
" what's your last name?"She asked
"Hayes" he said, "Darren Hayes"
"i can't believe i didn't recognise you sooner"She said.
He laughed, "Well i do look a bit different."

Darren started the car and with Steffi's directions he found his way to her apartment.

Stephi and Darren finally arrived at Stephi's apartment.
"Would you like to come in for a drink of something?"Stephi asked.
"Yes please, that'd be great" Darren replied.
They went inside and Stephi started some coffee brewing.
"So, what was up earlier, you never actually told me."Darren said
Stephi brought the coffee over and sat down on the sofa beside him.
"Well, i don't really know where to start, i suppose it's cos my mother's got a new man and my dad's only been dead 3months and...." she trailed off
"you don't wanna hear all this," she said.

"No, it's always easier when you talk about your problems, i sympathise, it must be hard on you and your mum."Darren said.

"Thanx for listening"Stephi said.
Stephi and Darren talked for a bit longer but then Darren looked at his watch.
"Oh my god, is that the time? I really gotta go. It was nice meeting you"Darren said as he grabbed his car keys.
"You too" Stephi said
When he got to the door Darren turned round."Sorry to shoot off like this, maybe we could go for a drink later on, is seven good for you?"
"That would be great" Steffi smiled.
"Ok, see ya then, bye"
Steffi watched as Darren drove away.

Stephi had a shower, put on her make-up and got dressed.
She then got a taxi to the bar she'd arranged to meet Darren at. She was quite excited about the night, but she didn't wanna show it so she sat down at the bar and waited for Darren to arrive.
About 10 minutes later Darren walked in.
"So sorry i'm late," he said as he gave her a dozen roses.
" Thankyou," Stephi said as they sat down at a table.
"There was alot of traffic, i hope you weren't waiting too long."Darren said, smiling at Steffi.
"It's ok, I just got here myself"
Darren and Steffi talked and had a few more drinks.

They both suddenly stopped and looked deep into eachother's eyes. They stayed this way until Darren leaned forward and planted a long passionate kiss onto Steffi's lips.
Steffi and Darren kissed for a while and then just got right back to gazing into eachothers eyes.

After what seemed like a lifetime of looking at each other, Stephi and Darren realised that they were the only 2 people left in the bar and it was nearly closing time so they said good night and went there separate ways.
When she got home, Stephi noticed that Darren had slipped a piece of paper with his number on into her bag. She giggled as she put it in her address book.
He really seems to like me, she thought to herself.
The next morning, Stephi decided to call Darren.
Darren was in the shower when he heard his mobile ringing. He rushed out to answer it.
"Hello, Darren Hayes here" he said
"Hi, it's Stephi.I hope i'm not calling at a bad time."
"Not at all, so how are you doing?"
"Great thanx, you?"
"I'm good thanx,"Darren said,"I had a great time last night."
"Me too, I was wondering if you would like to go out somewhere today?"
"Sure, how about a picnic?"Darren asked,
"sounds great"

"ok I'll pick you up at 11:00"
"ok, bye"Stephi said
"bye"

Before Stephi knew it it was 11 o'clock and Darren was knocking at the door. Stephi quickly did her hair and opened the door.
"Your carriage awaits m'lady,"Darren said with a chuckle.
Stephi kissed Darren on the cheek and they both got into the car.
"I found a really nice part of the park i thought we could go to."Darren said as they got out the car.
"Sounds lovely" Stephi said as they walked arm in arm.
They got to a really quiet part of the park and they sat down under a weeping willow tree.
"Wow, it is beautiful here."Stephi said
"not as beautiful as you."Darren replied as he gazed into Stephi's beautiful brown eyes.
You could get lost in those eyes, He thought to himself
He leant forward and kissed Stephi pasionately on her lips. Stephi laid down on the grass and Darren laid next to her. He wrapped his arms around her waist and started to nibble her earlobe.
After lying in eachothers arms for a few more hours, Darren and Stephi got back into the car for Darren to take her back to her flat. They stopped outside kissed and Stephi got out.
"Thankyou for today, i had a really good time,"Stephi said
"Me too, thankyou for today too."
"Sorry i had to cut today short, do you want to drop by later on?"
"Sure, what time?"Darren replied
"oh, i don't know,"Stepi said.
"Ok well how about you call me when you get home."
"Ok, bye"
"bye" Darren waved as he drove away.
Stephi went inside, had a shower, got changed and set off for her mother's house.
She arrived at her mother's and walked inside.
"Hi mum, it's only me, i came to collect the photos you gave me."Stephi said as she walked into the kitchen.
"Hello Stephanie, the photos i found for you of your father are in the livingroom." Her mother said.
Stephi got the photos and went back into the kitchen.
"So when's uncle Mike moving in then?"She asked
"Tommorrow"her mother replied"and i think that little tantrum you threw a few days ago was quite unnecessary."
"Unnecessary?
How dare you say that? Don't you understand how painfull it is for me to see you moving on? You're just forgetting about him!" Stephi yelled
"Don't you want me to be happy? Oh no, you don't because that makes your stupid perfect fantasy world a little bit less perfect doesn't it? Your father;'s gone and nothing is bringing him back!"her mother yelled.
Stephi couldn't take this any longer and she ran out of the house.She sat by the river crying, then she heard a voice.
"Stephi, honey, are you ok?"The voice said.
She looked up and saw Darren standing with a bouquet of flowers.
"How did you know i was here?"Stephi asked.
"Well i didn't.I came to buy you these and thought i'd come down to look at the water myself."Darren replied as he handed her the flowers.
"thankyou, they are lovely."Stephi said.
"so, what's up? "
"I'd rather not talk about it, i might start crying again."she said.
"ok, i have an idea, i got a jaccuzzi at my hotel suite, how about we go there? You can relax, oh and i you wanna talk, i'll be here to listen."Darren said as he looked into Stephi's beautiful eyes.
"Thanx........and i think a jaccuzzi would be nice."
Darren and Stephi went to Darren's hotel suite where Darren switched on the jaccuzzi for them both.
While Stephi changed into her bikini in the bedroom, Darren got into the jaccuzzi.
He was feeling a little bit cheeky so he took his swimming shorts off and got in totally naked.
Stephi sat down in the jaccuzzi with Darren and because Darren was feeling a bit frisky he

untied her top and threw it away.He then did the same with her bottoms.Stephi smiled as she leant in for a hot passionate kiss.
